My First Post for Festive Friday's at the Outlawz

Tonight I got to do my very first post for the Festive Friday's Challenge at the Outlawz!
You may have seen me post for the Sketch Challenge or the Progressive Challenge but our Festive Friday's Challenge is brand new for 2016 and we are having so much fun using fun and funny themes for our Design Team inspiration cards. Last week we had awesome cards submitted for our fun themes!

Our themes for this week are:
Appreciate a Dragon Day
National Popcorn Day
Penguin Awareness Day
National Squirrel Appreciation Day

I chose National Squirrel Appreciation Day! I love squirrels and think they are so much fun to watch with their funny antics around my bird feeders. My dad had a squirrel that came up to him and ate Chips Ahoy cookies out of his hand. I was never brave enough to let a squirrel eat out of my hand....(have you seen their teeth????)

And one time when I was back in high school, you know in the days of horse and buggies, LOL, I was on a field trip with my biology class and our class went to  a park and we all split up and had our notebooks and we were given 30 minutes to observe nature around us. Well, I don't remember too much about what I saw but I will always remember a squirrel falling out of the tree that I was sitting under and landing on my notebook. What a sight! Don't know if everyone in the county heard my screams, but the poor little guy was so scared, too, and couldn't get away fast enough. What a day for an 8th grader!!!!! I don't think I will ever forget that.

But I do love squirrels and I found this cute squirrel image saved to my hard drive and it is a digital image by Graphics Fairy. I knew I had to use this image for my card! I used Copics to move some color around on my background and finished off with my white Pitt pen (which I love and am so glad I found it). The sentiment is computer generated.
