Hey Chickie!

It's Friday!! We have a new challenge  at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge! Each week we give you four themes to choose from and you can enter up to three times per week!

The themes this week are  July 1st (Canadian), July 4th (USA), Chickens,  and Christmas.

For my theme this week, I chose chickens. I had this super cute Bugaboo image from the Mini Animals Set that I couldn't wait to use. A quick coloring and then I diecut it and adhered it to a background layer that I stamped with a speckle stamp (Printworks) and sponged using Tim Holtz stencils. I cut a slip of paper in dark red and used an oval punch to make the cut ends. I finished off with some flowers from my stash and used sequins and red dot gems to embellish.
The finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

I hope you will visit Festive Friday's at the Outlawz and see what my teammates have made!

Christmas and Bumble Bees

Hello there! It’s the last Wednesday of the month and we have a new sketch at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge!

Our sponsor this month is SheepSkiDesigns which is owned by  Andrea Norris, who is also the artist for SheepSkiDesigns and a very valued and talented Design Team member here at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge! Our June winner will get a digi prize from Andrea.

Okay, now here is our sketch for this week!

I liked the sketch and Andrea's images so much I made two cards this week.

For the first one, I used Mindy #40 by SheepskiDesigns. I wanted to make a kitty with blue eyes and the medium gray color seemed to work well with the eyes. I colored with Copic markers. My papers are from my stash and the little red bows are from Hobby Lobby and I found them in my stash recently.

For my second card, I used Bumble Bee Blossom #90. I've been fascinated with bumble bees this summer for some reason and when I saw this image, it was a 'must have'. I colored with Copic markers and added some clear Wink of Stella to the wings before I realized I should have made my wings transparent but since I had already put on the Wink of Stella, I didn't want to damage my markers so I just left it the way it is. The papers are from my stash and so are the flowers. For my embossed layer, I used a new embossing folder by Stampin' Up! called Garden Trellis. I thought it went perfectly with the flower-bee theme.

Hope you will come by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teammates have come up with!

Sunshine at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge 6-23-17

Helloooooo!  It's Friday!!

We have a new challenge  at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge! Each week we give you four themes to choose from and you can enter up to three times per week!

The themes this week are  Wedding Day, Picking Berries, Sunshine,  and Christmas.

I picked Sunshine for my theme.  First, I used the Sunburst Thinlits Die from Stampin Up! to cut a sunburst from some yellow cardstock. I then embossed it using a 5 x 7 Cuttlebug embossing folder. I then stamped a flower from the Sunshine Sayings set (Stampin' Up!) all over the sunburst randomly with Calypso Coral Ink, also Stampin' Up!. I glued the Sunburst die cut onto a piece of orange patterned paper and then glued that on an ivory card base.

The center circle is a new punch by Stampin' Up! called Starburst Punch. I stamped the words Sending Sunshine (Sunshine Sayings-Stampin' Up!) in the center and sponged a little bit around the punched circle. I finished with Diamond Stickles around the circle but it didn't photograph well to show the sparkle.
The finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

I hope you will visit Festive Friday's at the Outlawz and see what my teammates have made!

Merry Everything!

We have a new challenge  at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge! Each week we give you four themes to choose from and you can enter up to three times per week!

The themes this week are  Down on the Farm, Butterflies, Children's Birthday Cards,  and Christmas.  I chose Christmas as I just got the cutest little deer image to play with.

I colored the cute image with my Copic markers and used papers from a Christmas set by Stampin' Up! that were just released June 1st. I finished off with a bow and sequins. A very quick card. The sentiment, Merry Everything is from a Christmas stamp set by Close to my Heart.
The finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

Just Dance! at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge

We have a new challenge  at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge! Each week we give you four themes to choose from and you can enter up to three times per week!

The themes this week are  Let's Play Soccer, Card with a Ballerina, Card with a Bear  and Christmas.  I chose Card with a Ballerina. This weekend is dance recital weekend for my 10 year old granddaughter. She participates in ballet among other forms of dance, so I thought this card would be fun to make in her honor.

My card uses a Bugaboo image called AKV Ballet Dance Trio. I colored the cute image with my Copic markers and found some paper scraps in pink and lavender. "Just Dance" is a sentiment from a Visible Image clear stamp set called Born to Perform. I added some sequins from my stash.
The finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

I hope you will visit Festive Friday's at the Outlawz and see what my teammates have made!

Posh Puppy Tag at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge

The month of June has arrived and we have new sketches for the Outlawz Sketch Challenge!

And here is my card using using Posh Puppy #77 (SheepSkiDesigns). I got the printed paper last week at a garage sale. I used Copic markers to color the image and the ribbon is from Stampin' Up!

I thought the tag might make a fun bookmark, so I decided to make a card with a pocket on the inside to hold the tag/bookmark. I added the mini clothespin to the top just for fun because I had a package of those little clothespins and was really wanting to use them on something. The embossed layer was made using an embossed folder from the Trelliage set by Anna Griffin. The floral frame is from a Flower Frame die set by Lea'bilities (also purchased at the same garage sale1)

This is what the inside of the card looks like. I will probably add something to the left hand side of the opened card as it looks a little bare. The pocket die is by Anna Griffin.

Hope you will come by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teammates have come up with!

Thanks for dropping in! I appreciate it more than you know!
