Wednesday Sketch Challenge December 30

Well, if you have been following the crazy weather all over the world, you will know that some people are having twisters, some are having flooding, and some are having snowstorms. Here in Iowa, it is the snowstorms. We had a white Christmas after all and then another wave of snow a few days later!

But  rain or shine, we have a new Outlawz Sketch Challenge. Every Wednesday, we have a new sketch challenge and this week is no different!

New Wednesday Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz

Everyone ready for Christmas? Nope?  Don't feel alone. I have shopping done but I'm still making Christmas cards. And I still have wrapping and baking to do. Oh, well, when I run out of time, I just run out of time.

And here is my card using the Bugaboo image "Lily Trio". I colored the image with Copic markers and used papers and butterflies (Martha Stewart) from my stash. I rotated the sketch one turn so my image would fit better. The almost black paper I used behind the image is actually a patterned paper although it looks just plain black.

It's December at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge!!

Here in the Midwest, December arrived with a vengeance. Nothing dramatic, just a whole lot of cold and a few snowflakes here and there!! Such a busy month ---December!!  ProgramS, parties, shopping, and celebrating the holidays!! I hope this is a blessed time of year for you as I find it is a little hard to relax with all the activities going on.

And over at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge, we are busy making inspiration cards with our images to use this month from our December sponsor Bugaboo Stamps. For my card, I colored the image with my Copic markers. My papers are from my stash. The bottom layer didn't photograph well but it is two shades of green with one of the greens being a shiny Christmas green. My stars, gems, and snowflakes are all from my stash too.

From the Heart November Stamp Challenge

From the Heart has a monthly progressive challenge and for November we got to use this really cute set called "Deck the Halls Birdbrain."  If you play during the month, you will get the December image for free. Or if you are just joining in, you can  spend $10 at the shop and receive it free or you can just buy the image. The set is awesome. You get the image plus some sentiments of which I have used 'deck the halls.'

I colored with Copic markers and tilted my image just a little to make it look like Birdbrain is running down hill and the ornament that he dropped is bouncing along behind him. I had some hat stickers and decided to place a hat on his head and I thought it looked kind of cute that way.

This is the perfect image if you want to make a creepy card.  This Voodoo King image has many possibilities. I was trying to think what to make and then decided to make it colorful and use lots of red. I like how it turned out. I colored with Copic markers. What do you think?

Stamp of the Month Challenge at From the Heart

From the Heart has a Stamp of the Month Challenge.

I just found out about this progressive challenge from a friend and after looking at all the cute images there, I just had to join in the fun. If you play along each month, you automatically will receive the following month's image and you have all month to get your project submitted.

The image is actually a very nice set. This month, the image is a Cornucopia and a sentiment is included that says Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Birthday, and a very precious verse! To get started, you can either buy the set for $3.50 or you can order $10 of digis (which I did) and use a special code and get the digi set for free.

Deedee's Digis Pumpkin Patch

Here is my card for the Deedee's Digis Progressive Challenge.  The set this month is Pumpkin Patch.

When you produce a project for the challenge, you automatically receive the next month's image (set).  To get started on the challenge, all you need to do is go to Deedee's store and purchase the set for $1.25 which is a bargain for all you get!!

I colored the image with my Copic markers and used papers and paper flowers from my stash.

Sparkle and Glitter with Rick St. Dennis Progressive Challenge, September and October

The Sparkle and Glitter Challenge (Rick St. Dennis) is my latest find and this is the first time I've played. It's a little different type of progressive challenge because for the first month, it is an Anything Goes challenge that you use an RSD image of your choice. After the first part of the challenge closes, you receive an image to use and make something with and you have the whole month to do it. So I decided to enter this challenge for September/October.

The image I received was "Alice" and I made a card which I've shown below. After the collection closes, a random winner of the challenge will be chosen and the winner gets a free digi.
Here is my card!

I colored with Copic markers and used items from my ever expanding stash to finish the card.
