February Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz

Gosh, January is gone and done!  Time flies!
We had so many cute cards turn up in our January Progressive Challenge! I think everyone loved the Bunny Cupcake Wagon by Di's Digis.

We have a new Progressive challenge at the Outlawz  that starts February 1 and runs through February 28th.

Our image this month is Wild Rose and is donated to us by Beccy Muir of Beccy's Place.

Here is my card. Hope you will stop by the challenge and see what my teammates have made with this beautiful image!

I used a combination of Copic markers and Colored Pencils to color the image. I cut my image and placed it over a die cut by Anna Griffin. And then added a few tiny rhinestones to finish it off. The centers of the roses are yellow Stickles. The butterfly die cut is from Stampin' Up1

Outlawz Sketch Challenge 1-31-18

It's the last Wednesday of January! Thank goodness that I can soon turn the calendar to February. That means spring is not too far away. We have our final January sketch challenge too at the  Outlawz.  Hope you will visit our Sketch Challenge.

Our sponsor for January is

The lucky January winner will get to select 3 images from the shop

Here is this week's sketch.

And here is my DT card.

My image is Hettie Hedgehog's Christmas List and is by our sponsor, Creative Heart. I've never colored a hedgehog before so I googled a picture of one. I started with Copic markers and then finished with colored pencils and a white Sharpie Poster Paint pen.

I used Elizabeth Crafts "Chains" die to make my white trim and then added some red gems. The snowflakes are stickers.

I am entering this card in the Createful Hearts Challenge Blog. It is Anything Goes with an Optional Twist to Add a Heart.

Hope you will come by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teammates have come up with!

Thanks for dropping in! I truly appreciate you taking the time to come by and look and leave a comment!

Festive Friday's Challenge 1-26-18 at the Outlawz

TGIF! We have a new week of themes at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge

This week our themes are Let's Go Skiing, Snowflake of Many Colors, Build a Snowman, and Christmas!
For my card, I chose Christmas, and my image is by our sponsor Anne's Digital Art.

 Here is my card!

I colored up my image with Copic markers and then set out to find a patterned paper for the background. It is like a paper store in my basement. Didn't take long to find this pretty non-traditional paper and I chose the pattern because it seemed to make an extension of the rolling snowy hills. I added Diamond Stickles to the shaded snowy areas and to the tops of the fence posts and mailbox and sign.

Hope you will come over to the  Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge and see what my teammates have made. So much talent over there!

Outlawz Sketch Challenge with Poppies

I made this card pretty quickly as I have been knee deep in a mess. I decided to reorganize my craft room after going to a friend's house to stamp and seeing her brand new craft space. Everything was so organized and clean looking. So I began my overhaul!! I did manage to fill two trash bags of stuff. I had embossing powders of every color imaginable, some 20 years old! How long has PSX been out of business? And Embossing Arts Co?  I don't do much embossing and if I do, it is usually black or white. I did keep my silver and gold though. I have one cabinet left to do and that is the one under my sink. That shouldn't take long. Anyway..................

Just as we had a January thaw and almost 50 degrees, I continue to dream of spring and blossoms as I made my card for the  Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz.

And here is my DT card.

I used an image from our sponsor called Bouquet of Red Poppies. The poppies I grow in my yard are bright orange, so I did orange ones. I layered with matte silver cardstock and black cardstock. The flourishes and pearls are from my stash.

Hope you will come by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teammates have come up with!

I'm entering this in the Createful Heart Blog Challenge.

Christmas at the Outlawz Festive Fridays

It's Friday!! We have a new week of themes at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge

This week our themes are Sleigh Ride, Winter Trees, Hot Chocolate, and Christmas!

For my card, I chose Christmas, and my image is by our sponsor Anne's Digital Art.

 Here is my card!

I guess you would probably say this is a non-traditional Christmas card. I saw a Christmas card once with a duck on it and was trying to remember how it was done. Well, I couldn't remember as it was years ago and I didn't keep it. Sigh!!! But here is my version. I was going to do a hilly scene in the background behind the lake, but of course, my card would end up being way too huge, so I scrapped that idea and just went for the water against a background layer of blue and brown patterned paper. The paper was actually from a Christmas paper pack. Very non-traditonal colors!!
I colored with Copic markers and added some penciling and white dots from my Sharpie Poster Paint Pen.  The sentiment is from Penny Black clear stamps.

Hope you will come over to the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge and see what my teammates have made. So much talent over there!

Sketch Challenge January 17, 2018

Still cold here in Iowa! The main topic of conversation here besides politics!! We are expecting the 40s in a couple of days though! It will feel nice!!

I continue to dream of spring and blossoms as I made my card for the  Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz.

Here is this week's sketch.

And here is my DT card.

I used an image from our sponsor called Eastern Yellow Robin Australia (but I wanted to make a bluebird) and colored it with copics. I cut it out with a Stitched Circle die and then layered over a blue cardstock die cut from Cheery Lynn English Floral Doily die.

I used the Flower Shop punch by Stampin' Up! and a leaf punch by Stampin' Up! to make my corner embellishments. No bling or sparkles on this one except for the pearls added to the center of the flowers and around the doily.

Hope you will come by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teammates have come up with!
