My card for this week's Outlawz Sketch Challenge uses a Rick St. Dennis image called Canton Chic. I love how this card turned out.

Rick St. Dennis is sponsoring the Sketch challenges all month long and I hope you like my card .

First, a word about our sponsor, Rick St. Dennis.
For the month of September, we are so pleased that our sponsor is Rick St. Dennis Digital Stamps. His images are so fun to color and create around.

The prize for one lucky winner this month will be two single digis of choice (excluding sets) OR a 25% discount at Rick's Zibbet store. (digi SETS are excluded as prizes)   Thank you, Rick! That's a great prize!

We have a great sketch again this week!

And I rotated the sketch one turn, so I could fit my image into the rectangular box!!

I used Copic markers to color my image, Canton Chic, by Rick St. Dennis. The papers and flowers, and ribbon are all from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by. Please check out our challenge at the Outlawz.

Grateful for you-----Outlawz Sketch Challenge 9-23-2015

I really love fall for the beautiful changes that happen!  The humidity drops, the temps are a little cooler, and the change of colors from the various shades of greens to oranges, rust, reds, and browns is so beautiful!

My card for this week's Outlawz Sketch Challenge uses a Rick St. Dennis image from the Helen's Mice collection. Appropriately, the mouse image is September!

Rick is sponsoring the Sketch challenges all month long and I hope you like my card I made using Helen's Mice-September.

Laughin' Bills at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge

Such fun we are having this month at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge using Rick St. Dennis images. Rick is sponsoring the Sketch challenges all month long and I hope you like my card I made using Laughin' Bills Carnival.

Now, moving along.....................

Here is the sketch for this week!

I was really excited about this sketch with the big spider web in the center. I thought a spider web would be a perfect backdrop for the fun, fun, fun Laughin' Bills Carnival image by Rick St. Dennis.  I didn't have anything suitable to use for a spider web, so I went to the Clip Art in Microsoft Word and what do you know, when you search for Spider Web, lots and lots of awesome images pop up. The one I found was a combination of creepy, beautiful, vibrant ----- and I loved it. I printed it off on my card stock and found it went really well with my colored image.

The papers, ribbon, and spider web stickers are all from my stash. I used an embossing folder on the lavender layer. The Happy Halloween was a chipboard element that came in a package of Halloween fun items I purchased at Wal-Mart.
I colored my image with Copic markers and must give credit to Monique at Rick St Dennis because I was at a total loss as to how I was going to color up the image when I saw the coloring done by Monique on the Laughin' Bills Carnival image at the RSD Zibbet store. Her coloring so inspired me to use many colors and I tried to pick some different colors than what she used so as not to be a "copycat" but I want to acknowledge her beautiful coloring, too, as my inspiration.
I used Stampin' Up! dimensionals to make my image stand off the card a bit. My plan was to use an Action Wobble but after looking in all my craft stuff for over an hour, couldn't find the package of them. I'm sure they will turn up when I least expect them to!

This is the back of my card. My card is 6 by 6 inches square and sometimes instead of making a folded card, I will just decorate the backside.  More stickers and gems from my stash. The sentiment is from a Close to My Heart set.

Challenges I am entering:
Through the Craft Room Door - anything goes
Crafting From the Heart - anything goes
Fan-tastic Tuesday - Bright and Colorful
Creative Fingers - anything goes

I hope you like my card and thanks for stopping by!!

Outlawz Sketch Challenge 9-9-15

Hi Everyone!
I'm going to be showing you our new Sketch for the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge as well as my finished card using a Rick St. Dennis image, Bird of Paradise.

Here is the sketch for this week!

And here is my card using Bird of Paradise by Rick St. Dennis Digital Stamps.

First of all, I couldn't wait to start working on this beautifully drawn image by Rick. I have a real fascination with all of his ladies and I loved, loved, loved this one!!

I colored with Copic markers. The wings are accented with Lime Stickles. I used my B99 Copic marker to dye my white flowers to the same shade of blue on the skirt. The skirt is accented with Wink of Stella brush. It came out too fast after I figured out how to use it and then it started drying quickly so I had to work fast and move it around. I don't know why I didn't test it on a piece of scrap paper. You think of these things later!!!!

I'd like to invite you to the Outlawz Sketch challenge to see what my teammates have made with their RSD images and this sketch. Even if you don't like to participate in Sketch challenges, I think it is really fun to see what others do with a sketch. So if you are at all curious to see what my teammates did with this sketch using various Rick St. Dennis images, please come join the challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm going to enter my card in these challenges:
Through the Craft Room Door - anything goes
Crafting From the Heart - anything goes
World Wide Open Design Team - anything goes
Fan-tastic Tuesday - Make it Feminine
Creative Fingers - anything goes

A New Outlawz Sketch Challenge!

Hello, September!!  Thought I would embrace September instead of wish it away!! I actually love September---cooler temps and less humidity ---it's the nasty season that follows that I just can't love! I heard a mild winter is predicted, but there's no such thing in Iowa!!
Enough about the weather! September is here and with it brings a new set of challenges over at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge. We have a new sponsor with Rick St. Dennis! Oh, how I love his images!!   For the month of September, we are so pleased that our sponsor is Rick St. Dennis Digital Stamps.
The prize for one lucky winner this month will be two single digis of choice (excluding sets) OR a 25% discount at Rick's Zibbet store. (digi SETS are excluded as prizes)   Thank you, Rick! That's a great prize!

I hope you might join us this month! Sandra works hard making our sketches for us and she does a wonderful job!
And here is this week's sketch!

And here is my card using Rick St. Dennis image "Holly December". I really had fun coloring this beautiful lady and making an early Christmas card. I had to flip flop the main image and the sentiment to make it look right. I didn't want the ribbon hanging over Miss December's pretty face.

I hope you will take a moment to stop by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my teammates have come up with their Rick St. Dennis images. (Most of us were thinking Christmas!)

I'm entering my card in these challenges:
Sparkle and Glitter Rick St. Dennis EDT page - Part one of Progressive Challenge
World Wide Open Design Team - Anything Goes
Marker Pop - Anything Goes with markers

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a great week!
