Outlawz September Progressive Challenge

As I write this, the month of August has gone down in history. The Outlawz August Progressive Challenge has closed and we start a new month and a new September Progressive Challenge!

Our image this month is so generously provided by Ignacio at Nicecrane. Thank you so much for giving us such a cute image to work with! The image is from the Flower Children Collection and is #4. When you purchase the Flower Children sheet, you get a digital stamp sheet and 6 individual images in jpg format. Great deal for the price of a single digi elsewhere!

Here is my card and below my card, I will tell you how to start playing at the Outlawz Progressive Challenge!!

For my card, I used Copic markers to color the image and the floral background layer is the Wild at Heart stamp from Gina K Designs and I stamped it in Cranberry ink. The papers are from my stash! Overall card size is 5 by 7 inches. 

ABOUT OUR CHALLENGE:

We had a fantastic response for our August challenge.  If you took part in this progressive challenge in August, you will automatically receive by email the September image. If you didn't take part but want to, it is easy to join the fun.

First, you must be a member of the Outlawz. If you aren't a member, just drop by and ask to join. After your request is approved, you can join the Progressive Challenge or any of our other seven challenges.

Next, you will need to register to play. Do this by sending an email to the address on the challenge page with your name and email address and an email will be sent to you.
 

Rules: 

The rules are very simple: join the challenge, join the progressive/freebie group, send us an email to register and then enter a project made with the image supplied before 6:00 p.m. EST on the last day of the month and you will automatically get the next image. If for any reason you don’t get your project made and you would like to rejoin us, you can buy the image of the month from the sponsor's store and as long as you enter it before the end of the month you will get the next one free and you will then get them automatically each month you enter a project.

Please do not add your image to Pinterest, or your blog or anywhere it can be copied from without a watermark. You can not share these images with anyone – if your friends or family want them send them HERE to join in and get their image or if they don’t want to join the challenge please send them to the sponsor's store to purchase the image.

When you have made your project please place it onto the challenge page for September, enter it into the Gallery (use the tag PF10 for the September challenge) and the September Inlinkz to be entered into the draw for the site wide prizes from our other wonderful sponsors – check out the Outlawz side bar for this month’s prizes!

Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge

And here is my card using Coffee Cup Supplies by My Whimsical Little World. I colored my image with Copic markers and used Brushos and a mini-mister filled with water to make my background layer. It is great fun seeing the colored powders react with water.

Outlawz Sketch Challenge for August 19

And here is my card using Spooky Owl by My Whimsical Little World.

I wanted to make a night time scene with that full moon, so I went with my copic markers. First time I've used such a dark color on a somewhat large area and I liked how it was shadowy looking, just like a night sky. I used the Copic white opaque paint to dot in some stars. This is where I usually get carried away, so I had to restrain myself from putting in a zillion more stars.  The papers are from my stash and I used some die cuts I had on hand for the embelllies.

Fun Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz

Hello there, crafty friends!

Today starts a new Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz!

So, are you ready for the sketch for this week? I think the banners are so fun although I have to say I had quite a time with trying to ruffle and glue some ribbon down so I ended up scrapping that idea and just gluing down some plain ribbon in a normal fashion.

August 5th Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz

Can you believe it is August already? Here in the Midwest, I'm enjoying county and state fairs, sweet corn, sunflowers, dragonflies, and sweltering heat! Although today was a very pleasant day topping off at about 80 degrees. Can not complain about that!

August also brings a new month of Sketch Challenges at the Outlawz. 

And a new sponsor! So delighted that My Whimsical Little World is with us this month. Paola has some of the cutest images around and her store is growing by leaps and bounds! And below, here is my DT card using My Whimsical Little World image, "Tula". She was fun to color. I colored her with Copic markers. I had to do some experimenting with colors for her bubblegum bubble, but layered RV10 over E40 and that seemed to work the best. The little dog and the other images all came with this Tula image! Love that!! 

My papers are really old from my stash and so are the flowers I used in the corners!

August Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz

Yeehaw!! August is here and we have another fun Progressive challenge at the Outlawz!!

This month our image is provided by Zoe at Make It Crafty.  

The name of the image is Wishful Asha and she is a real cutie. 

Here is my card. I used Copic markers for the coloring. I merged Wishful Asha and Cobblestone Path (also by Make it Crafty) onto one card and then colored. If you want to know how to merge images using Microsoft Word, Zoe has a tutorial on her store site. You will find it under Videos>>How To Videos>>Making a Scene in Word. Very easy to follow.

If you have been playing along in our Progressive Challenge, you would automatically receive an email with instructions on how to get this image.
