Outlawz Sketch Challenge March 9

We've had some unseasonably warm weather in Iowa. Two days in a row in the lower 70's. I have some tulips that have poked through the ground. Of course, the bunnies will eat them before they ever show a bloom! But it sure feels good to be in March and have spring just around the corner. One of the first signs of spring besides the tulips and crocus are the little tiny purple violets that show up in the grass here and there.  I coincidentally used Violet Sprite from Aurora Wings as my focal image on this week's Outlawz Sketch challenge card.

I colored with Copic markers and used items from my stash to complete the card.

    Awesome card, Darcy! Lucky you to have some 70 degree days! I have always loved violets! I remember picking bunches to give to my Mom and my teachers! Do kids do that anymore? Thanks for bringing back that memory!

    Gorgeous! Love the blues and purples. Wonderful sketch and love what you did with it. You had the warm temps before we did but when they came it was so nice and I have flowers coming on the south side of the house.
