Through the Purple Haze Challenges #48 No straight angles

This week at Through the Purple Haze Challenges, we have Rick St. Dennis as a sponsor and we have a theme of "No Straight Angles".

Through The Purple Haze Challenges

The image I'm using is Alice in the Garden of Live Flowers. You can find it in Rick St. Dennis' Zibbet Store.

Here is my card with No Straight Angles.

I used Spellbinders Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities to make my White and Yellow Base layers. For the blue paper layer, I cut an oval and then cut off the edges to make a somewhat wonky shape. For the image, I used a Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities and then trimmed off the bottom and the sides to fit the blue layer. The bling and flowers are from my stash. The Friendship sentiment was also from my stash---it came in a card kit a long time ago and since I don't throw anything away (haha), I was glad I found a use for it.

I colored my image with Copic markers.

I really hope you will check out the Rick St. Dennis Zibbet store and also swing by the Through the Purple Haze Challenges for a peek at what the other Design Team members made for the challenge.

Challenges I am entering:
Scribble and Scrap Challenge -
Craft for the Craic -Summery or Flowers
Corrosive Challenges - Color Me Happy (using copics)
Sister Act Card Challenge - a card
Fantastic Tuesday -Square or rectangular, Anything Goes

Have a great week!

New Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz June 18-24

A brand new Wednesday Sketch challenge is posted. Hope you will stop by and check it out!!

Our sponsor all month is the Stamping Chef.

The Stamping Chef online store
Here is our sketch!

This is such a fun sketch. I started looking through all my dies and found the Spellbinders Dahlia Nestabilities die and so using the largest one of the set, I cut around my printed digital image. It couldn't have been more perfect! The squares were easy of course and I used a floral petal punch from Stampin Up! to make my two flowers.

My image is Barn Brat by the Stamping Chef.  I used my copic markers to color in!!
Copic colors I used:
Skin: E51, E11, R02  Lips: R89  Eyes: Blue Skies Blue (Bic Mark -It)
Hair: C9, C2
Pink hat, shirt, boots: R83, R85  Shorts: R0000
Horse: E31, E30, T1, T3
Barrel: N0, N3, N6

I sponged with Close to My Heart Blush ink around the die cut!

Have a great day!!

Through the Purple Haze Challenges #46 - Anything Goes

A new challenge at Through the Purple Haze Challenges.   It is the ever popular Anything Goes!!

We are so pleased that The Stamping Chef is our sponsor this week. The prize will be 3 images!

http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/

My image from The Stamping Chef is Nuts About You.

Everything I used was from my stash. I had some pretty blue damask print patterned paper that I used for the background layer, then chose a yellow paper that I embossed with an embossing folder. The butterfly is an oddball sticker left over from another project as was the blue square gems I put on some punched blue flowers. Of course I lined the petals with Diamond Stickles!! (my favorite Stickles)

I used Copic markers to color in my cute image. Here are the colors I used.

Here is a closeup of my sentiment!

My sentiment I made on the computer using Crazy Loot font.

Hope you will go over to the Through the Purple Haze Challenge Blog and see what the other DT members made with the Stamping Chef images!

Challenges I'm entering

Girlie Swap Blog Hop at Simply Betty Stamps

Ribbons, Flowers, Stamps, Papers, Stickers, Oh MY!!!!

Oh, such fun to have a Girlie Swap Blog Hop with members from the Simply Betty Stamps Facebook Fanpage group. If you are not a member of the Facebook Fanpage, you should go take a look and become a follower. We have so much fun there. Chats, Sneak Peeks of the Simply Betty Stamps line, Freebies, and a lot of friendship!!

Today, we are doing a Blog Hop of all those that participated in the Girlie Swap.

If you came from Melissa, you are going in the right direction.

Corinne picked our partners and we mailed out a care package full of crafty/girlie items to our swap partner. I was so fortunate to have Anita for my partner. She spoiled me so rotten with all the fun things she and her son Charlie picked out for me. Before I show you the pics of all the goodies I got, I want you to see the card she made me. She used a Simply Betty image and made this delightful card!  I have other cards that she has made for me and they are all AMAZING!!!!!! So here is a pic of the card she made!

And I can't wait for you to see the decorated box she made!! My two most favorite colors in the world are purple and green and this is such a treasure, I will have it forever!!!!

Now for the pics of my goodies!!

New Outlawz Sketch Challenge June 11-17

There's a new sketch challenge that is just starting at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

Our wonderful sponsor all month is The Stamping Chef

http://thestampingchef.com/Shop/

Here is our sketch for the week!! It's a good one!!

For my card, I used the image Nuts About You by the Stamping Chef.  I used copic markers to color in the image and used my Cuttlebug to cut out the Spellbinders Nestabilities Circles and Scalloped Circles. My paper was actually free and came with a magazine I subscribe to. I perched a little butterfly sticker on the white space as it looked a little blank. The ribbon is Filigree Bow die cuts from Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions. I hope you like my card.

I hope you will check out the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what the other Design Team ladies have made with their Stamping Chef images.

Have a great day!

Through the Purple Haze Challenges #45 Show Some Attitude

We have a fun challenge for you this week over at Through the Purple Haze Challenges! The theme is SHOW SOME ATTITUDE.

Our sponsor this week is the incredible Kenny K. The winner of our weekly challenge will receive 3 digis!!

http://www.kennykdownloads.com/

I volunteered to fill in for one of our DT members who felt she may not be able to get a card done in time! So I got to work with the image Tomboy Trouble! What a cutie!!

Usually I color my image and then figure out what I'm going to do with it, but this time, I had my idea first. I had so much fun making backgrounds the week before, that I wanted to make another background. So, I just cut squares out of some cardstock I had on hand in red and blue colors and layered them and then stamped some background stamps in black ink.

For my sentiment, I used the computer to generate a greeting.

I colored my image with copic markers.

I hope you will stop by the Through the Purple Haze Challenges and check out the other Design Team cards!!

I'm entering these challenges:
Kenny's Krafty Krew: Anything Goes
Sentimental Sundays - Anything Goes but use a sentiment
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes, a card
Creative Fingers Challenge -Anything Goes

Have a great week!

The sketch this week at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge is a great one! I really like how the sketch makes you dig into your pile of supplies and search for just the right embellies!!

Our challenge this month of June is sponsored by the wonderful and awesome Stamping Chef.

The Stamping Chef

Here is the sketch! You can turn it and flip it, just so long as we can see that the sketch was your inspiration for your project. And you can make anything: scrapbook page, card, tag, framed art, just so long as it is handmade and follows the sketch.

Here is my card using The Stamping Chef image, Ella Lovely! I colored the image with my copic markers and used papers and embellies from my stash. The oval layers are cut with my Cuttlebug using Spellbinders Oval Nestabilities.

Through the Purple Haze Challenges #44 Make Your Own Background

Here we are at Monday again and we've got a new challenge for you at Through the Purple Haze Challenges.

http://throughthepurplehazechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/http://throughthepurplehazechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/

The theme this week is Make Your Own Background.

Our sponsor is Milk Coffee Stamps and they will give the challenge winner 5 images!! How is that for an awesome prize?? And the DT votes for the winner so none of that Random Generated Winner!!!

https://www.etsy.com/people/MilkCoffee?ref=si_pr

I made two cards for the challenge. This first one is made with the image Charlotte Reads A Book. Such a cute image!!  I colored her with copic markers.

Copics used:  Skin E000, E11, R20,   Hair N2, N4, 100,  Hearts R24, Clothing R0000, Y02, FY1, Y15, Y17, Y11, Pillows Y0000,  Books E99, E08, Y26.

The background was fun to make. I took Dried Marigold Distress Ink pad  (Tim Holtz) and rubbed it over the inside of a Chevron embossing folder from Close to My Heart.  Then I ran my white cardstock and the embossing folder through my Cuttlebug and ended up with a really cool background. Then I took the Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink Pad (Tim Holtz) and swiped over the raised up areas of the cardstock. I really like the way it turned out. I then added some star embellies from Jolees and attached a sentiment "dream BIG" by  Studio G. My yellow and orange papers are from my stash.

******************************************************************

For this card, I used the digi image, Michelle Walking from Milk Coffee.  I colored her with my Copic markers.

Copics used:  Skin E000,E11,  Bow and Boots BG11, BG13, BG90, BG93, Coat and Handbag YG63, YG05, YG63, Foliage YG04, YG61,  Sky B0000, Sidewalk N2,  Hair Y26, Y28, Y23, Y21.

For the background, I used the Gorgeous Grunge set from Stampin Up! and used Aqua ink from Vivid, Pear from Close to my Heart and  Dried Marigold Distress Ink. I just stamped randomly with all the stamps in the set. I used my corner rounder to round off the corners of the rectangles that were cut with my paper trimmer. The image is cut out with a pair of my specialty scissors that I often forget that I have.  This pair was the deckled edge one. I finished with three pearls in the corners and a glittery butterfly sticker that was given to me by a very special friend. I added the little pearls to make the body.

I hope you will stop over at the Through the Purple Haze Challenges and see what the rest of Team B cooked up for you to be inspired.

I'm entering my cards into these challenges:
Sister Act Card Challenge - a card, Anything Goes
Crafty Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
Corrosive Challenges - Anything Goes
