A Vintage Birthday

I made this Birthday Card for the Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge. The theme this week is Vintage and Masculine Birthdays. When making this card, I had birds on my mind and even though my husband's birthday isn't until September I decided to make a card for him and this fit in perfectly since he really likes birds as much as I do. The bird is a Sizzix die and the birdcage is a Cheery Lynn die. The elements are from Bo Bunny and I used a rubber stamp for the Birthday greeting. Hope you like my card!

Enjoy your Friday!

Outlawz Copic/Promarker Challenge

Here is a card I made for the Outlawz Copic/Promarker Challenge. Our challenge was to make a One Layer Card. This was hard for me because I really like to layer papers together. I can't recall the last card I made that wasn't layered. But here it is using an image from Art Impressions.

Cruisin' with Tom

Some time ago I purchased a digi from Kenny K and it is called Tom Cruisin.....of course you can guess who it was fashioned after....especially if you remember the famous Sofa Jumping Escapade on the Oprah Winfrey Show.  Haha.....I loved it and when I saw this digi, I didn't hesitate.
My card is being entered into the Outlawz Color Challenge, which features Royal Peacock, Gold Crest, and Tricom Black with a "Star" twist. Well, my "star" is mainly the focal point of the card.....celebrity star, Tom.  But I did add a few other stars, too! I colored the image with my copic markers.
Here's my card.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Pansies

I needed a sympathy card and I chose pansies (rubber stamp by PSX) because they just seem to be such cheerful little flowers. I have some purple ones growing in a pot in my front yard right now and they are very welcoming when I come home.

I love cardinals and most birds for that matter, but cardinals are just so beautiful with their brilliant red color! When I saw these stickers in the scrapbook section of a favorite store, I knew I had to buy them.
And this week's Outlawz Sketch Challenge was the perfect opportunity to use them and so I did just that!

Hugs and kisses for my kitty

It is National Hug Week and Be Kind To Animals Week. So, over at The Clean and Simple Challenge at the Outlawz , we are making cards with a "Hug a Pet" theme.

I got this cute little digi over at Alicia's Little Shop called "Alicia and her little cat". Just love this. I colored the image in with my copic markers. Kept it very simple but couldn't resist adding a few little rhinestones to her headband.
Hope you like it!

It's almost Friday! Yay!

Fun in the Sun!

How about a Little Fun in the Sun! I'm all for that!
This week, the Outlawz Paper Ala Mode Challenge asked us to add a bird to our creation. I love this little bird from Pink Cat Studio. You can do so much with it! I knew what background paper I wanted to use so I just colored the birdie in with matching copic markers.

Found the perfect ribbon to put underneath the image and it is Fun in the Sun!

Have a great day!

No rabbits eating these tulips.....

It is my 10th spring living out in the country and I think I will have to give up on growing tulips. Just when they get ready to burst open with a pretty bloom, the rabbits come along and nibble them down to the ground. I was going to put out some chicken wire and spray with bitter tasting Tree Guard but I was too late. Oh well.... no rabbits are eating these tulips in the card I made for the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge. The twist this week was to add buttons. My tulip image is a rubber stamp by D.O.T.S. (now Close to My Heart Stamps).

Have a great week!

Apples Anyone?

Love apples! Wish my apple trees would start producing a little better! Every year, there seems to be a weather problem that affects me actually getting any apples! Oh, well, here is a card I made of a cute apple tree that I stamped for an Outlawz Clean and Simple Challenge that asked us to feature a tree or trees. I have never used this stamp before although I have had it a number of years! What a perfect chance to use it now!

Here's my apple tree card. The ribbon I used was a gift from my Swap Buddy Melissa! She sure knows how to pick out beautiful ribbon.
Remember the old saying.....An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away!

Material Girl

This card features a digi image by Simply Betty Stamps called Material Girl Rio. I colored her with copic markers and this card is entered in the Simply Challenged Challenge and the Outlawz Paper Ala Mode Challenge.

The Simply Challenged Challenge needs to have embossing and I did it twice! Once on the teal vertical strip that I decorated with jewels and on the printed background paper behind the image. I hope it shows up.

For the Outlawz Challenge, it was Anything Goes! Always love that one!

Have a great day....getting cold here AGAIN! Come on spring, where are you?
