About Me

A little about me................... well, I live in Iowa in the US with my husband, dog Kasey, and Coco, my cat. I have a son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren that live within 30 miles of me, so I am truly blessed.

I've been crafting in some form or another ever since I was a child. My grandma taught me to crochet as a young girl and to do embroidery. As a young adult, I liked to do plastic canvas needlework and latch hook rugs.

Then..............I was introduced to rubber stamps and then scrapbooking and for the past 20 years or so, I have been making scrapbooks and handmade cards every chance I get!

I work full time so it is hard sometimes to find the time that I can devote to my passion of crafting and artwork. I took a class on water coloring and immediately fell in love with it. Although, I'm not really very good at it, I do love to spend time trying to put my ideas down on watercolor paper.

Besides crafting, I love to garden and feed the birds that come to visit.  I may venture into vegetable gardening this summer but for the time being I really love perennials, grasses, and container gardens. I'm not new to vegetable gardening but haven't done it for the past 10 years when we moved to a rural area that is frequented by deer, raccoons, turkeys, and other critters that seem to enjoy the tomatoes that I plant.

If you are reading this, then I want to say a very sincere thank you for stopping by my blog. I really do appreciate it.
