Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge August 18

It's Friday!  We have a new challenge  at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge! Each week we give you four themes to choose from and you can enter up to three times per week!

The themes this week are Child's Birthday Card, Let's Go Boating, Card with Stripes, and Christmas.

For my theme, I picked Child's Birthday Card.

My hippo image is by Bugaboo and is part of the Mini Animal Sentiments set. I wish I had enlarged it a little more so you could read the words around it better. Hip "hippo" ray. I punched the balloons and butterfly with my Stampin' Up! punches.
The finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

I hope you will visit Festive Friday's at the Outlawz and see what my teammates have made!

Bugaboo is always our sponsor for the Festive Friday's Challenge and is giving a great prize of 5 digital images to our lucky August winner! Please visit Bugaboo as they are so generous with their prizes and we simply couldn't have challenges without them!

Hope you will stop by the Festive Friday's Challenge at the Outlawz

Daffodils at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge

Happy Wednesday! Time for a new Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz!

Our sponsor for August is Digistamp4Joy. Our August winner will get to choose four images from theDigistamps4Joy store.

Here is this week's sketch

And here is my card using Daffodil by our sponsor Digistamps4Joy. I merged three Daffodils together and colored with Copic markers.

My order of Oxide inks came this week so I used the Twisted Citron one to make a background around the daffodils. I felt like the daffodils were a little lost, so I used a brush marker to make a contrast around the flowers. Originally, my daffodils were all yellow, but they lacked pizzazz, so I made the centers orange. I added a sentiment and some black rhinestones to the corners and did some cardstock layering and I was done. The overall card size is 6 x 6 inches.

Hope you will come by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teammates have come up with!

Outlawz Color Challenge 8-15-17

I'm guest designing in August at the Outlawz Colour Challenge. Hope you will drop by there and see what lovely cards the Colour team has made!

The sponsor this month is Mari Digis.

Here is the inspiration photo and the Twist is Inspiration.

My image is by the sponsor Mari Digis.  I used the colors from the inspiration photo and friendship for my inspiration. I colored the image with Copic markers. The frame is by Spellbinders, Timeless Rectangles.
The stamped sentiment is by Fiskars. The pink flowers under the sentiment are made of resin and are actually sold for a fairy garden, but when I got them, I was thinking they were better suited to put on a card.

I hope you will stop by the Outlawz Colour Challenge!

And thanks so much for dropping by my blog! I appreciate it!

Favorite treat --Outlawz Festive Fridays Challenge

It's Friday!  We have a new challenge  at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge! Each week we give you four themes to choose from and you can enter up to three times per week!

The themes this week are Straw Hat, Man's Profession, Favorite Treat, and Christmas.

For my theme, I picked Favorite Treat and made a friendship card.

I used the Friends Cookies digi image by our sponsor, Bugaboo. I used my Copic markers to color the cute image. The Sweet background layer is also by Bugaboo and one of the digi papers from the Chocolate set. I don't see the digi paper set or the Friendship image in the store right now, but Jodie is busy adding in older images into the new web store.  The flower is from a set of fabric flowers in my stash.
The finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

I hope you will visit Festive Friday's at the Outlawz and see what my teammates have made!

Vintage Dress at Outlawz Sketch Challenge 8-9-17

Time for a new Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz!

Our sponsor for August is Digistamp4Joy. Our August winner will get to choose four images from theDigistamps4Joy store.

Here is this week's sketch

And here is my card following the sketch using
Vintage Dress 2 Coloured Version by Digistamps4Joy. The illustrator of the image is Jen Leeflang.

What a beautiful image to work with! And the fact that it is pre-coloured meant that I had no coloring to do and the card went together pretty fast. I used my oval stitched die to cut out the image and adhered it over my background layer which consisted of some white patterned cardstock on the right side and the left side was vellum over a soft red.

I used some gold foil tape and gold and white dotted washi tape to go across the bottom. The butterflies are cut with a Stampin' Up! punch and the big gold flower is by Paper Studio. I've had these gold flowers in my stash for awhile, waiting for the right time to use them!  The butterflies, washi tape, and flower helped cover up the glue needed to adhere the vellum to the red paper.

Hope you will come by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teammates have come up with!

Vintage Twist for the Outlawz Colour Challenge

It's my second week of guest designing in August at the Outlawz Colour Challenge.

The sponsor this month is Mari Digis.

Here is the inspiration photo and the Twist is Vintage and use three of the five colors shown.

My image is M47 and is from the sponsor Mari Digis.

For my three colors, I chose Pink, Coral, and Aqua.  I colored with Copic markers. I added die cuts here and there and the lacy heart has been in my stash for years. So glad I found a use for it. The gems and papers are from my stash.

The Vintage theme made me nervous. I had a lot of ideas in my head but since my colors were limited to the pink, coral, and aqua, that I just had to do the best I could with a few items.

I hope you will stop by the Outlawz Colour Challenge!

And thanks so much for dropping by my blog! I appreciate it!

At the Beach for the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge

It's Friday!  We have a new challenge  at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge! Each week we give you four themes to choose from and you can enter up to three times per week!

The themes this week are Roses, Something with Bows, At the Beach,  and Christmas.

For my theme, I picked At the Beach and made a birthday card.

I used the Surfer Guy image and the birthday sentiment, both by our sponsor, Bugaboo. I used my Copic markers to make some sand, water, and sky, in addition to coloring the cute image. I drew in the sea gulls. The swimming fish are a rubber stamp as is the little sand dollar.
The finished size is 5 x 7 inches.

I hope you will visit Festive Friday's at the Outlawz and see what my teammates have made!

Hello, August! Outlawz Sketch Challenge

Time for a new Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz!

August has arrived. I am thankful for a little bit cooler temperatures. I know it won't last long, but July was a scorcher! Add mosquitoes, June bugs and Japanese Beetles into the mix, and well, most evenings, I just stayed inside!

We have a new sponsor for August. It is Digistamp4Joy. Our August winner will get to choose four images from the Digistamps4Joy store.

Here is this week's sketch

It was fun coloring the Daisy Power 2 daisy flower background in purple, pink, and yellow. I colored with my Copic marker and layered onto some purple glittery paper which I layered onto some purple and yellow floral designer paper. The Happy Birthday is digital by Digistamps4Joy. I finished with some purple and white twine and purple gems and some yellow pearls from my stash.

Hope you will come by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teammates have come up with!

August Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz

Hello everyone!

It's August now! Summer is going too fast!

We have a new Progressive challenge at the Outlawz  that starts August 1 and runs through August  31st!  Jean Chaney, my friend and teammate at the Outlawz has provided two images this month. They are called Swish, the Angelfish and Swish, Tangled.

Here is a word from Jean about her images.
As a Certified Zentangle teacher, I feel it is important for you to know that these images, while using some of the patterns of Zentangle are in actuality ZIA’s (Zentangle Inspired Art). The Zentangle® method is an easy to learn, relaxing and fun way to use structured patterns to create beautiful images. Do read more about this method from the founders of this meditative approach to art on their website. Zentangle.com
For ZIA, images can be drawn and filled with patterns. Color may be added. Two images have been provided this month. One filled with tangles and the other leaves room to add your own if you choose. Color away and enjoy. I’m looking forward to seeing your creative additions.

Here are my cards. Hope you will stop by the challenge and see what my teammates have made with these super cute images!

This card is with the image, Swish, Tangled. Jean has created a little scene with Swish and is part of the image. I colored with Copic markers and just used some papers, ribbon, and washi tape from my stash of supplies.  A white Faber Castell Pitt Pen made the white dots.

This card has Jean's image, Swish the Angelfish and I colored him/her with my Copic markers. The background scenery is an underwater digi by Make It Crafty.
