Tis the Season

Good morning! It's another Wednesday and we are in the midst of our November Wednesday sketches at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge.

Here is the sketch for this week!!

And here is my card using Anne Fenton's image  Christmas Sentiment. I colored with Copic markers and used a gold pen on the ribbon and then went over the ribbon with Wink of Stella. Diamond Stickles finishes off the main image. My pretty papers are new this year from Close to My Heart. The snowflake stickers are by Paper Studio. I placed Iced Rhinestones by Stampin' Up! on the center of each snowflake. Making this traditional red and green Christmas card has put me in the mood for Christmas!!

Happy Veteran's Day

Today we honor all the veterans, past and present, that served our country so courageously in time of war and time of peace.  Thank you to all who sacrificed and also to the families of the veterans.

Veteran's Day is one of the themes over at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge. The other themes are Mickey Mouse's Birthday, First Snowflake Day, and National Pizza Day.  You can enter up to 3 times each week.

I made a card using a poppy image by Aurora Wings. I colored with Copic markers and used papers from my stash. The stitched rectangle frame is a die by Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment was generated in Microsoft Word.

I colored with Copic markers and used some papers by Gina K Designs. It also gave me a chance to try out a brand new die!  It is one of the Background Builders by LDRS.

National Chicken Lady Day at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge

Hi everyone! Welcome to November at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge.  Every week to celebrate Friday, we give you four themes to choose from. This week the themes are:

National Chicken Lady Day
National Candy Day
Book Lovers Day
Neon Sign Day

You can enter up to 3 times each week. For my DT project, I chose National Chicken Lady Day and used a precolored image by Deedee's Digis (her store closed but I have tons of her cute images).

I made a step card and used coordinating papers by Gina K Designs. The flower stickers are from my stash. My image is pre-colored which cuts down the amount of time I spend on the card tremendously. I love the pre-colored images!

A Birdhouse and Wild Roses at the Outlawz Sketch challenge

Can't believe it is November 2nd already!!  And we are continuing to have beautiful summery weather but without the humidity!!  So wonderful to have a mild and colorful fall!

And since November is here now, there is a new monthly sponsor for the Outlawz Sketch Challenge. It is Anne's Digital Art who is owned by Anne Fenton, an amazing artist.

Etsy Shop Anne's Digital Art

http://annescards4u.blogspot.com/

Anne will give a surprise package of 5 digis to our lucky monthly winner. Be sure to check out her blog because she adds freebie digital images there from time to time.

On with the sketch for this week. Here it is!

And following the sketch, here is my card I made! My focal image is Birdhouse and Wild Roses, a digital image by our sponsor, Anne's Digital Art.

I colored the beautiful image with Copic markers and to make my banners, I used a Triple Banner punch by Stampin' Up!  My buttons and paper are from my stash and I used White Liquid Pearls to accent the banners and the buttons. I used to try and make my banners myself, but using this punch is so much easier!!

Hope you will hop on over to the Challenge and see what my teammates have made!  It is interesting to see the different ways a sketch can be used!

Thanks for coming by!! I always appreciate it!

November Progressive Challenge at the Outlawz

Today is the 1st day of November and over at the Outlawz, we have a new Progressive challenge that started today! Our image is called Micemas Post and is so adorable and was given to us by Di Carubia of Di's Digi Stamps.

Here are some links to Di's Digis, store, challenge, and facebook page!

Here is my card. Hope you will stop by the Challenge and see what my teammates have made with the cute image!

I colored the cute mouse image with Copic markers. My background layer was made with a stencil sold by Elizabeth Crafts Designs. It is a Plaid/Stripe Stencil.  It is one of Karen Burniston’s new Stage it Stencils. The stencils measure 5” x 7” with a corner hole for storing on a ring or hanging on a wall hook. I used Diamond Stickles to add some sparkle to the snow.  The sentiment is a sticker.
