Ice Skating at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge

Christmas is over now but there is plenty of snow and cold weather ahead for us here in the Midwest and most of the country. For my Festive Friday's challenge card at the Outlawz, I chose Snow Sports Day for my theme and my card features a pretty little skating girl. The image is by Anne Fenton of Anne's Digital Art. I remember ice skating as a teenager. So much fun meeting up with my friends at the skating park and then huddling together in front of the fire and drinking cocoa to get warm in the little cabin that the park provided. I wish I had kept my skates! They would have made cute Christmas decorations!

This week at the Festive Friday's Challenge we have four new themes. The other three themes are: Go Tobogganing Day, New Year's Eve Day, and Three Cheers Day.

Here is my card for Snow Sports Day.

Festive Friday's has two sponsors every month!

Our first sponsor is a2zScrapbooking.  The prize for the monthly winner will be a digi kit. What fun!! a2zScrapbooking sells so many products and they are the exclusive dealer for Hero Arts Digital products!

Our second sponsor is Bugaboo!
The prize is $21 worth of digital images.

Hope you will pop in and see what my teammates have made for the Festive Friday's Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish everyone a blessed and peaceful new year!!

December 25th is coming.............

Good morning! Happy Wednesday! Christmas is right around the corner. Five days!!  I am continuing to make Christmas cards for the Outlawz Sketch Challenge. I am really on a roll, putting out Christmas cards for next year! This is a first for me, I think!

This week, we have a really fun sketch and at first, I thought oh, how am I going to make banners look right because I have struggled in the past. But it came to me ................. Here is the Sketch.

And here is my card using a sentiment from Close to My Heart's Twinkle set.

The Twinkle set is no longer available as it was a Stamp of the Month set. My papers are also from Close to My Heart and were from a previous season. For my banners, I used a Signature Bunting die from JoAnn Sheen. I cut it twice and it was perfect size for layering. I tucked little pieces of white cardstock behind the heart cut outs for a little contrast and finished with some rhinestones for a little extra pizzazz.  The cool thing about that bunting die is that the cut out parts are all heart shaped so I have some little heart pieces for another project or I could use as confetti!

A lucky December winner will win a prize package from the Outlawz Sketch Team! I hope you will stop by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teamies have made this week.

Have a great day!
And thank you so much for stopping by. It is greatly appreciated!!

And Merry Christmas!!

Santa's Reindeer Day at the Outlawz Festive Friday's Challenge

December is half way through and I am still cranking out Christmas cards!  But these two I've posted here are starts for next year!! I'm patting myself on the back for that!!

This week at Festive Friday's Challenge at the Outlawz, we have four new themes and the one I picked is Santa's Reindeer Day!   The other themes are Go Caroling Day, Forefather's Christmas, and Look For An Evergreen Day.

For my first card, I used digital images by Hero Arts and sold by our sponsor a2zScrapbooking.  The Merry Christmas background is from a set of various backgrounds. The deer and Christmas tree and Christmas star are images from the Swirl Christmas set, also by Hero Arts. I love these digi sets because you get lots for one low price. The Happy Christmas banner is from a set by Stampin' Up! called Seasonal Bells. The green bottom layer is from my paper stash which keeps growing miraculously!! The twine and rhinestones are also from my personal stash!  No coloring involved here. The deer and the Christmas tree come pre-colored in the set as well as black and white images.

Card number 2 is one of my favorites! The image is a pre-colored background digital image from the Winter Forest digi set by Hero Arts and sold by a2zScrapbooking. I added some more blue to the image with my Copic markers and also added some fawn color to the cute deer. The dotted paper is by Close to my Heart Stamps. The Wonderland die cut is by Tim Holtz and is part of a holiday set. I made the snow sparkle with Diamond Stickles.

Silver Bells

Hi everyone!!
It's the second Wednesday of December and we have a new Sketch challenge for you at the Outlawz!  Here is the sketch!

And here is the card I made using a pre-colored image by Beccy's Place! Thank goodness for pre-colored images as I am frantically rushing around to get all the holiday tasks completed! As much as I enjoy coloring for relaxation, sometimes it just doesn't fit into my schedule! I fell in love with the Silver Bells set of digis by Beccy's Place. You get the black and white image as well as the colored one and sentiments! Can't beat that for one low price!!

The silver matte cardstock makes a simple but elegant background for the pretty image! I added lace from my stash as well as the paper flowers and tiny strips of pearls. The bottom layer is navy blue.

A lucky December winner will win a prize package from the Outlawz Sketch Team! I hope you will stop by the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see what my talented teamies have made this week.

I am entering my card in the Beccy's Place December Challenge.

Have a great day!
And thank you so much for stopping by. It is greatly appreciated!!

A Gift

Good morning! Happy Wednesday!

We are starting December challenges over at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge.

This week at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge, I used a Thinlets Die set from Close to my Heart called Gift. My papers are from Close to my Heart and Paper Studio. The twine is from Close to My Heart, too. It has a gold thread through it. On the dotted circle are some rhinestones I just received from a treasured friend!

First, here is the Sketch

And here is my card. As much as I love coloring, it was nice to put a card together without sitting down to color first.

The Sketch team is providing a prize package this month.

I hope you will stop by our Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz. We have a special page where you can go and see all the sketches from 2015 and 2016, just in case you get stuck on thinking of a card design!!
