Outlawz Sketch Challenge April 30 - May 6

There's another new sketch challenge over at the Outlawz!! Here is the LINK if you would like to check it out.

Our sponsor all month has been Deedee's Digis!! Her images are so cute and such a good buy!! Deedee will give a prize at the end of the month for one of our challengers!!

Here is our new sketch for this week and right below it is my card I made with a Deedee's image, Dog, from the  Make a Joyful Noise set.

I rotated the sketch on it's side.  To color my focal image, I used Copic markers, C2,C3, C4, FV2, BG0000, YG0000, YG01.

The dog prints around the focal image is a clear stamp from Image Tree. I had a little booboo so that is why the butterflies are there on the upper right corner! Sometimes booboos are just unavoidable and can sometimes add to the card in a good way!!

I hope you will check out the Sketch Challenge and get inspired!!

Have a good day!
I'm entering my card in these challenges:
Through the Craft Room Door - anything goes
Scribble and Scrap Challenge - anything goes
A Random Fan Challenge - anything goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Recipe, 1 image, 1 designer paper, something purple
(my purple is strip of cardstock, butterfly, and the dog tag)

Have a great crafty day!

New Challenge at Through the Purple Haze Challenges #39 - April 28 Sketch

There is a new Challenge at Through the Purple Haze Challenges!!

My background paper is from my stash. I used an embossing folder to emboss some purple cardstock and then cut in one inch strips. That became my "ribbon". A butterfly sticker became the "bow".  I added the self adhesive pearls to the center of six embossed designs. All items are from my stash.

I printed the Pansy digi onto X-press it copic cardstock and cut an oval with my Cuttlebug using Spellbinders Ovals Nestabilities and then layered onto a purple piece of cardstock cut with the Scalloped Ovals Nestabilities of the same size.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

I used a 6 x 6 piece of patterned paper for my background layer and ran it through the Xyron machine so that my lace would stick down. I secured the lace with three dragonfly brads and an ivory rose that I colored the edges with  Copic R02.

My image was printed off on X-Press It Copic cardstock and layered with a burnt orange paper from my stash. I used a corner rounder to round off both layers. Best little invention ever!!

New Outlawz Sketch Challenge April 9-15

Easter is less than two weeks away and for this week's Outlawz Sketch Challenge, I made a card using a rabbit digi from our sponsor this month who is Deedee's Digis!

Here is the Sketch for inspiration!

Such a fun sketch---I really enjoyed making a card with it!!

Here's my card!

I used papers from my stash. The focal image was a bunny digi from Deedee's Digis which was printed onto copic compatible cardstock and then cut out with Labels 18 from Spellbinders.

The flowers in the corners are Stampin Up punches. Do you like my grass? I took white flower soft and colored it with Copic refill G40 and then used a Two Way Zig Glue Pen, waited a few minutes for the glue to get tacky and then dabbed the green flower soft onto the tacky area. I really like the way it turned out.
I colored my bunny image with Copic markers.
Bunny: N3, N2, N1, N0, N3, R81
Flowers and leaves: R22, FYR1, YG41, YG61
Sky: BG0000 and Colorless Blender
Big Flower Punch outlined with RV55

I'd really love to see you join in on the Outlawz Sketch Challenge this week!

I am going to enter my card in these challenges:
613 Avenue Create - Sights, Sounds, Smells, Tastes of Spring
Fan-tastic Tuesday - Anything Goes (Square or Rectangle)
Squirrel and the Fox Challenge - All Creatures Great and Small

Have a great day!!

Simply Challenged Challenge - Use Polka Dots and an SBS image

This month the challenge at Simply Challenged Challenge was to use a Simply Betty Stamps image and "polka dots". I have the perfect image to use which I have been wanting to make a card with. Earlier this year, Betty Roberts did some commissions for some of us SBS members and I asked her to do my grandkids, Laurel and Logan. I provided pictures and she drew the most awesome images!

Today, the card I am sharing is Miss Laurel as she is affectionately called. Here is my card!

As you can see, I have some polka dots, on the dress, the background paper, the ribbon that is threaded through the corners of my layered image and my polka dot punched layer. I added some pearls to the corners and one in the center of the flower on her big floppy hat.

I colored the Laurel image with Copic markers. The image also comes with a sentiment, You're the Sweetest!!

Copic Colors I used:
Skin: E21, E11, RV10
Eyes: B41, B45
Hair: Y21, Y23, Y26
Dress and Hat: R81, R83, R0000

This image along with many many other ones are available at the Simply Betty Store.

I'm also going to put this card in at the:
Outlawz Color Challenge - Mystery colors and theme
Crafty Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge  - a Card

Have a great day!
