Outlawz Sketch Challenge October 30 - November 5

There's a new Sketch Challenge over at the Outlawz!  Sandi's Samples has  been our sponsor this month. She will give a prize to our monthly winner.

Here is the sketch!

And here's my card using the Pumpkins 4 Sale image from Sandi's Samples.

I colored the image with copic markers. I could just see this wagon of pumpkins sitting alongside a rural property with a 4Sale sign. I used a spellbinders circle die to cut my image out. The brads are from Spare Parts and the jute ribbon is from Gina K Designs. Papers are from my stash.

Hope you will go over to the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and join in the fun!

Other challenges I'm entering:
Top Tip Tuesday - Seasons
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by!
Darcy

  3. I have the same vision for this image as you do. I picture it somewhere in Vermont. You did an outstanding job here. I love that the papers go so well with your image and those brads have a nice antique look to them. I noticed that you have a sky, grass and road. Great job . Enjoy your day.

    1. Thanks Donna! If I only could learn one thing from Marie's class it is to ground my image so it's not floating! But actually I've learned so much more! Can't wait to find some time to practice!

  5. I love this card, Darcy! This pumpkin cart could be along the road here in Maine. This is a neat sketch, and you did a fabulous card!

  6. Hello Darcy! Thank you very much for your extremely lovely comment about my Frankenstein card. It's wonderful that we can visit each others blogs in order to learn all the details that go into design a particular project. I know that is definitely how I learned over the past couple of years. Practice, practice, practice. Watch, listen and learn is my motto. Eventually you take all that knowledge and apply your own flare and wahla!
I used to be on the Twisted Thursday DT and TTCRD as well. I have many health issues that prevent me from working let alone crafting. I go along as opportunity is afforded to me that is why being obligated to a DT was not the best for me.
I have made many friends and acquaintances that I hope will last a life time, it truly is a wonderful community.
Your card is lovely and I really like how you had you went with your vision. You did something that a lot of us do not tackle and that is ground your image with a background. Excellent job! Thanks for becoming my newest follower, I so appreciate your kind words. Take care and see you around the Outlawz and Blogland :)S

    1. Thanks for the nice comment! I'm sorry your health caused you to have to give up a DT spot. I've been a DT at the sketch group for just a short time. I am enjoying it a lot. Great bunch of ladies. And yes I will see you around!
