Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Happy New Year!!!!

A new Wednesday Sketch Challenge has been posted at the Outlawz!!!
I'll make this a short post as everyone is probably partying about now! Not me, I'm patiently waiting for grandkids to arrive and we will have a great time at Grandma's house!!!

Encino Stamps is our sponsor for January at the Sketch Challenge and the prize will be three digital images from that lovely company.

Here is the Sketch!

And here is my card using "Annie with Flowers".

I colored my image with Copic markers and picked out some pretty dotted background paper. My flowers are punches from Stampin Up.

Well, hope everyone has a wonderful, happy, healthy, and prosperous new year in 2014!!!

Happy Birthday to Corinne and Irene!

Welcome to the birthday blog hop for Corinne and Irene! Oh, such fun! Corinne and Irene are twin sisters and today is their birthday! They are both very visible at the Simply Betty Facebook Fan Page, a group of facebook friends that have crafting in common.  I have belonged to this group for almost a year and what fun we have!

Betty Roberts (Simply Betty) of Simply Betty Stamps drew and inked the digital images of Corinne and Irene and let us have them so we could do this fabulous blog hop, which, by the way, is a SURPRISE!   Thanks, Betty, for the awesome digis!!!!

You should have come from the blog of the incredibly wonderful Wendy. If you didn't, the entire blog hop list is below and I encourage you to start from the beginning and see all the lovely handmade birthday creations that we have all made for the captivating Corinne and the irresistible Irene!
Since Corinne was born first, I will show you her card first.

Now for Irene's card!

Hop on over to the spectacular Sheri and see what she has cooked up for Corinne and Irene! The complete list is below!!

Angel Elisabete

This month at the Simply Betty Facebook Fan Challenge we were offered a choice of three images to make a handmade creation with. And each image had a specific theme! The choices were Jolly Corinne -Add holly, Betty Boom - Glitter and Use Black, White, and Red color combo , or Angel Elisabete-snowflakes. Be sure and check out all the stamps at Simply Betty Stamps.
I chose Angel Elisabete. I used Copic markers to color her and layered the image on some pale blue cardstock and used my corner rounder to trim the edges.

I then placed that layer on some patterned snowflake paper in very non-traditional blue and celery green colors and layered that onto a piece of celery green cardstock which I then layered onto my white card which is 5 x 7 inches.

For a final snowflake touch, I used my EK Success large snowflake punch and punched a snowflake from the green cardstock. I laid the snowflake down and pressed Top Boss embossing ink over the surface, sprinkled with Stardust embossing powder and heat embossed. I repeated this for a more glittery look and mounted the snowflake to the card.

Very simple and took no time to do.  Here's the finished card!

I am also entering my card into these challenges:
Make It Monday comment

Scribble and Scrap -Anything Goes
Squirrel and the Fox - Christmas or Hanukkah

Merry Christmas!!

Elsa

I am so excited to show you this card I made for my granddaughter for Christmas. The image is Elsa the Snow Queen, a digital creation by Betty from Simply Betty Stamps. The digi was a limited release and was free as an appreciation gift for having 700 followers on her facebook page.

I colored her with copics.....a lot of them actually and I will list them below the picture. I found some background paper that I thought would go well with the image. (Has to have some pink in it because my granddaughter is all about pink and sparkles and princesses.....well, you get it!)  I used Spellbinders ovals and scalloped ovals to place my Merry Christmas sentiment on. The snowflakes at the top were from my stash. They came on a sheet and I think were part of a monthly kit that I had never used. but they really are pretty now that I have seen them against the white cardstock.

Here is my card!
Here are the Copic colors I used!

Skin:  E000, E00, E11, R01, R20
Hair: E40, BG70, RV0000
Eyes: B0000, B12
Eyeshadow: V93, V95
Eyebrows: E43
Lips: RV34, V0000
Dress: BG02, BG05
Snowflakes in image: B0000 and Diamond Stickles

Hope you like her! Thanks for stopping by!

Outlawz Sketch Challenge for week of December 18

Hey, crafty ones, are you all ready for Christmas? Only seven more days...........I am still working on Christmas cards and trying to get a couple of packages mailed out. The month of  December has certainly flown by and gotten away from me.

There's a new sketch at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge. Our wonderful sponsor for the month of December is Bugaboo. They will give the December winner a prize of  7 digital stamps. Woooweeee! That is quite generous!

Here is the sketch!

For my card, I used the Bugaboo image called Penguin Star. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut out my image with Spellbinders Classic Ovals Nestabilities. I then mounted the cut out image onto some bright red plaid paper and mounted the plaid paper onto some bright red cardstock. The overall size of my card is 6 inches by 6 inches. I took some glittery ribbon stickers and cut into four pieces to make the borders around my punched out stars. I had teeny tiny little gold stars that I placed in the center of the punched out stars. I placed Diamond Stickles around the penguin image to add a little bit of glitz!!

I hope you will find time to hop on over to the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and see how this sketch inspired Sandra, Margaret, Pat, and Cindy, my wonderful teammates!

I am going to enter my card in:
Sister Act Card Challenge - card
Through the Craftroom Door Challenge - anything goes
Totally Gorjuss Challenge - Something Christmassy and Special

Hope you are enjoying the holidays!!!

Through the Purple Haze Challenges #23 HERE COMES CHRISTMAS DAY!

Can't believe December is halfway through but the New Year is right around the corner. Through the Purple Haze Challenges has had quite a year since it started challenges 23 weeks ago. This challenge beginning today and running through December 21 is the last challenge for 2013. But don't worry, we will be back in January.

For this final challenge of 2013, we are so excited because Penny Black is our sponsor and wait til you see what the prize is!!!

http://www.pennyblackinc.com/

But keep reading........ this is also our final challenge for the Big Giveaway. For those that have entered every challenge since the first one which was July 15th up through this one, their name is entered in a drawing for the giveaway. Charlie, Anita's son, will draw a name and that lucky lady will get the big prize. But never fear, the other six ladies will also get a prize of some sort...........how cool is that???

We started out with 19 ladies signing up for the prize and have had some drop out......but we have 7 that have stuck it out and I wish them all luck in the drawing.

So good luck to Alli, Angelique, Croms, Emily, Erin, Jackie,  and Jayne .....  what happened to the second half of the alphabet!!! LOL

So now I would like to show you the Penny Black prize for this week's entries. Remember, EVERYONE entering this week is eligible for the Penny Black prize as long as you follow a couple of rules. You can enter our challenge up to 3 times, but you cannot enter your project in more than 10 different challenges, including this one. And if there is a theme, you must use it! And you must link your project back to us with your actual blog post and not the blog address.

A lucky winner will get these stamp sets for winning this week's challenge. What a great way to start your Valentine cards!!!

And for the 7 ladies entered into the Grand Giveaway, here are just some of the things you can expect to receive if you are the winner!

And this week, both Teams A and B are showing off their cards!

For my Christmas card, I used Penny Black clear stamp images. They are from the set Joy to the World. I love this set and it is my first time using it. The cat and dogs just look so happy, don't they?

Here's my card!

I used copic markers to color in my two images. I wrote the colors down, but seem to have misplaced the piece of paper I wrote on.  So sorry about that!

The sentiment is from the Penny Black set, also. I mounted it on matching cardstock and attached a couple of brads. I then popped it out with pop dots.

I used a border die from Spellbinders to make the scalloped border around the larger image.  Background paper is from my stash.

Diamond Stickles (my favorite Stickles) was used to add some snow here and there.

Here are some challenges I am entering:
All That Stickles - Happy Holidays and Stickles
Make it Monday - Comment
Creative Corner Challenge - Favorite Color Combos
Corrosive Challenge - Anything Goes
Sentimental Sundays - Non traditional Christmas colors and sentiment
Love to Create - Anything Goes

Hope you will play along this week!!

Butterflies and Flowers

Just a quick card I made so I could play along with the Outlawz Color Challenge this week. This week we were given one color Lamplight Yellow and can pick the other two colors and a twist! Such fun!
So for my other two colors, I picked Sunny Gold and Orbital Orange and the twist is "Butterflies".

My image is from Outlines Rubber Stamps which has gone out of business (it was one of my favorite stamp companies). I colored the stamped image with Copic markers and layered it on some cardstock and patterned paper from my stash and added an orange ribbon from my stash.

Here's my card!

I'm also entering my card in:
The Squirrel and the Fox - Winter or Summer
4 Crafty Girls - Anything Goes

Have a fantastic day!

CRAFT ALL DAY LTD
http://www.craftallday.co.uk/

Kenny K gave us an image to work with: I got the Stud Santa! Well, let me tell you, I did NOT know what I was going to do with him. I colored him with my Copic markers and used my Spellbinders dies to cut his image into a circle but I needed a sentiment that was appropriate. I did one that I had to redo because it turned out that it was so similar to another DT member and she beat me to it so I did some googling on the web for Santa expressions and found one I thought would go with this card.

I have the perfect person in mind to give this card to! hahaha

So here is my card!

I used Diamond Stickles on the white portions of the Santa suit and hat and I used Aleene's Glitter Snow on the background.

Hope you will drop by the challenge and see what the other design team members came up with their Kenny K images!! And be sure to enter the challenge as the sponsors will be giving away prizes! Craft All Day is giving away a goody bag and Kenny K is giving away three digis!

This card is using the freebie image from Sandi. I used Copic markers on this image also.

Through the Purple Haze Challenges #20

Another new challenge at Through the Purple Haze Challenges!

Through The Purple Haze Challenges

This week we have two sponsors, Encino Stamps and MMCS.  My Mum's Craft Shop will give a prize of  £10 coupon and Encino Stamps will have prizes for the Top 3.

http://www.encinostamps.com/     http://www.mymumscraftshop.co.uk/

The Design Team B all used images from Encino Stamps and we were also to use something old from our stash. My image is Gerlinde the tortoise and my "something old" is the red buttons I put in the four corners. I don't use buttons very often, don't know why, they really add a lot to a card!

My papers are from my stash and so are the buttons. I colored my image with Copic Markers.
Turtle: YG03,YG67, YG00, YG02
Red Bow: R39, R46, R43
Hearts on Shell: R43
Eyes: E34
Background: RV0000

I am taking an online background class from Marie Gamber. It is called Creative Backgrounds with Marie and it can be found at Color Me Creative. I used one of her techniques for my background that is very subltle. If you want to add more pizazz to your colored images, her background class is simply a must!!!  Here's a closeup view!

I'm also putting my card in these challenges!
Color Me Creative - Anything Goes
Outlawz Alcohol Markers Challenge - Universal Children's Day

Have a great week!
